Trend Setter: Olivia Palermo

Fashion has always been one of my strong interests. Growing up, I loved playing dress-up (as many young girls do), but I had a dream of working in the fashion industry. I loved picking out my own outfits (even at the young age of 2), but most of all, I looked up to my mom's style. My mom is my style icon and trend setter. Ever since then, the list has grown. Olivia Palermo, is one of my favorite style icons and trend setters in the fashion industry. She is so classy and has a multitude of styles. Plus, that woman can pull anything off! Here are some of my favorite looks.

The whole outfit is just perfect for a walk in the city and the shoes are to die for!

I love the colors in this outfit and once again, Olivia made a great choice with the shoes.

This dress is so girly and elegant. The lace detailing makes it perfect!

Olivia pulls off the all black and rocks it! The skirt with the leather jacket makes for a perfect combo.

A Girl's Gotta Have It

While I prefer a more natural look and don't normally wear a ton of makeup, here are some of my go-to products.

Boi-ing, by Benefit, is perfect if you are Italian, like me, and are prone to dark under-eye circles! It also hides those pimples that like to come out of nowhere at the worst times possible and any mascara or eyeliner that might run.
Bobbi Brown's  Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner is easy to apply and lasts all day!

Covergirl's LashBlast Volume Mascara is my favorite mascara. It comes in a brown-black color which I love if I am tired of wearing simply brown or black mascara.

And the Beat Goes...

I am always pleased when I discover a new song before it soon becomes overplayed on the radio. And yesterday, I did just that. Daughter's "Still"  has been on repeat on my computer for the past two days. If you love Indie as much as I do, you will fall in love with this song!

Enjoy!

Purely White

Every time summer rolls around, I envision myself in all white clothing made from fabrics like linen and cotton that scream "summer is here." I am always trying to find the right linen pants, tunics, button down shirts, etc. These pieces are very versatile because after summer you can pair darker colors with the pieces to accompany the changing seasons. These James Perse pants are perfect for those summer days at the beach or even for a day out running errands. I love how they can be dressed up with some wedges or dressed down with some gladiator sandals.

This Michael Kors  eyelet tunic is so boho, yet girly at the same time. It can be paired with some white jeans, colored skinny jeans, or even simply a pair of regular denim. I absolutely adore the detailing on this tunic!

Anthropologie's Bisected Studio Buttondown is perfect for a day in the office or a night out in the town. I love how functional and fashionable it is!

Caffeine, Please

My mornings usually start with a cup of coffee and since today is Monday, I am guessing a lot of you coffee drinkers are needing an extra fix of caffeine to kick-start your week. While I am normally on-the-go and will grab a quick Starbucks to ease my coffee cravings, I cannot get enough of coffee mugs or any type of cup for that matter. So, I have included a few of my favorite coffee mugs below.

I love Anthropologie's pie crust mug. The classy white but the simple, yet ornate detailing of the mug never fails to catch my eye!

The Tiger Eye Mug from Pier 1 Imports is a practical, yet chic mug. It has a unique shape which makes it that much better.

Happy Monday!

Spring into Summer

Welcome to Definitely Danielle! With the beginning of summer here and me being back home from school, I thought that this was a perfect time to finally start my blog. Summer is one of my favorite seasons, particularly because I get to enjoy being back home with my family and friends, as well as enjoy the nice weather. There is a French saying that truly captures the essence of this blog. "La vie est faite de petits bonheurs,"which means life is full of little pleasures. I hope to share with you the little pleasures of my life, the things that are definitely Danielle.
